What's Happening

Journal Entry: Wed Jan 30, 2008, 12:55 PM
Well I'm back from backpacking through East Europe; awesome experience. I went through Germany, Bratislava, Vienna, Budapest, Kracow, Prague, and back into Germany. The cities were amazingly beautiful, each in their own individual way. I can't wait to get back over there again. Anyways, now that that adventure is over I'm headed back out to sea for the next several months. I don't yet know where I'll be going or for how long but that's half the fun. Life is just one adventure after the last and I am very glad that I have all this excitement in it. For anyone who has been following along, Jack and the Pirates is actually almost done now and that should be finished by the summer. Also, I've started a new work on William Tell which should be pretty good; it's been fun writing it anyway.

Yes, that's the one... originally anyway. I haven't read the books in several years but picked up the name back then and have been using it for so long that it just kind of became mine and I use it regularly now. But yep, thats where it came from :)

Hey everyone! I'm back... and I quite literally sailed around the world! I've got a whole bunch of stuff I need to get taken care of so it'll be a couple of days or two before updates and awesomeness begin! If you've got questions though go ahead and start now and I'll get to them as soon as I get a chance.

It's hard to stand on tip-toe for too long, but just the toes and balls of the feet isn't bad at all.

It's true there are quite a few anime icons. They're fun and decorative, but that also falls into the numerous anime artist that actually frequent DA.

hmm... the most popular really seem to be anime though. I like the artwork itself but never really got into that whole scene... alot of the people ate that kinda thing up and started acting pretty wierd, almost as though they were unable to distinguish between what happened in a cartoon and the world that there were really living in. No offence to any big anime supporters out there but that pretty much turned me off the subject.

Well yeah, those are popular subjects for avatars, DA or not.

For example, three icons on your page, including mine, feature a faded, blurred, or mixed eye.

Because people of the same genre of art tend to appreciate and comment on each other more often, it's just more coincidental really.

Just an observation:

Did anyone ever notice that, when you go check out someone's page, all the comments are by people of a similar avatar. There's groups of wolf-avatars, anime ones, lions, face pictures, emoticons... all sorts of stuff. It's kinda funny. I was just wondering if anyone else had picked this up too?
